Italy’s foreign trade has declined in May 2025, with exports down 2.3 per cent and imports 4.1 per cent month on month.
Non-EU trade saw sharper falls.
Year on year, exports dropped 1.9 per cent and imports 1.7 per cent.
Despite this, Italy posted a trade surplus of €6.16 billion ($11.19 billion) excluding energy.
Import prices fell 1.4 per cent monthly and 3 per cent annually.
