Japan-headquartered Sumitomo Chemical will reorganise its head office and R&D structure from April 01, 2026.
It will split its research planning unit, merge three laboratories into a new Advanced Foundational Technologies Laboratory and rename Corporate R&D Laboratories.
The Battery Materials Division will be dissolved following business consolidation in South Korea.
