Supporting the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) on free trade, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said she is ready to discuss the merits of the deal with President Donald Trump if needed.
A more protectionist US stance has introduced new challenges, she noted.
Her remarks follow Trump’s statement casting doubt on the USMCA’s renewal, arguing that the US does not need anything from Canada and Mexico.
