India’s manmade yarn market rose sharply due to tight supply, higher raw material costs, and improving demand outlook.
Polyester-cotton and polyester yarn prices increased up to ₹8/kg in Ludhiana, while Surat saw gains of ₹2–4/kg.
Viscose yarn also rose ₹3–6/kg.
Export focus kept domestic supply tight, while better liquidity in the new fiscal is expected to support demand.
