South Korea’s apparel imports down to $3 bn, March sees sharper dip

South Korea’s apparel imports edged down 1.21 per cent to $3.02 billion in Q1 2026, with March imports dropping sharply by 11.9 per cent.
Knitted imports rose slightly, while non-knitted declined.
Textile exports also fell amid weak global demand and rising competition.
The country continues to rely on garment imports while exporting fabrics and materials.
