The 6th round of India-US bilateral trade negotiations is supposed to begin on August 25.
However, Trump’s latest threat of substantially raising tariffs on India for its ties with Russia has made trade talks uncertain.
Earlier, Trump hinted at additional levies for buying oil from Russia even as industry leaders have been seeking government intervention and fast-tracking bilateral talks.
