The UK Government has launched its first PFAS plan, setting out coordinated action to reduce risks from ‘forever chemicals’ to public health and the environment.
The plan includes stronger monitoring, a proposed statutory limit for PFAS in drinking water, assessment of coastal and estuary pollution, and collaboration with industry to develop safer alternatives.
