US container imports rose 2 per cent MoM to 2.23 million TEUs in December 2025 but ended the year 0.4 per cent below 2024, with December volumes down 5.9 per cent year on year.
China led the decline, with shipments down 21.8 per cent and its share falling to a six-year low.
In contrast, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia posted strong gains as sourcing continued to shift towards Southeast Asia.
