The US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has announced initiating two Section 232 investigations to assess the impact on national security of imports of personal protective equipment, medical consumables and medical equipment, and robotics and industrial machinery.
For the former, BIS sought input on items like surgical masks, gloves, diagnostic reagents, hospital beds and medical devices.
