US textile and apparel import volume grew 4.50 per cent to 69.38 billion SME in January–August 2025, driven by stronger demand for MMF-based products, basics and home textiles, alongside retailer inventory restocking.
Cotton and MMF imports rose 3.99 and 4.66 per cent, respectively.
Meanwhile, exports dipped 0.48 per cent, widening the US trade gap.
