Bangladesh’s cotton consumption is expected to rise marginally to 7.8 million bales in marketing year (MY) 2024-25, which started in August this year, according to a latest US department of agriculture report.
Out of that, 7.7 million bales will be imported—around 2 per cent higher than the previous MY’s import figure.
The department projected the consumption figure at 7.7 million bales in September.
