Uzbekistan is implementing new initiatives to support cotton farmers, a recent virtual meeting chaired by the president was told.
Farmers will be provided with additional material assistance so that they can timely harvest cotton without losses.
If Uzbek textile firms grow cotton at their own expense or purchase it from the market, the state will reimburse them 10 percent of the cost of raw materials.
