Bangladesh’s National Board of Revenue (NBR) has started automating the verification of commercial invoices to stop leakage of revenue and streamline the import-export process.
The pilot phase of the initiative was recently launched.
NBR has integrated its ‘Asycuda world’ system with the Bangladesh Bank’s FXTMS system, allowing customs authorities to access and verify commercial invoice data in real time.
