China’s transport sector handled 4.97 billion tonnes of freight in July—a YoY rise of 3.4 per cent and faster than June’s 2.9-per cent YoY growth.
Freight volumes rose by 4.5 per cent YoY for rail, 3.3 per cent YoY for road, 3.4 per cent YoY for waterways and 15.3 per cent YoY for civil aviation in the month.
Cargo handled by Chinese ports reached 1.54 billion tonnes in July—up by 6.9 per cent YoY.
