Covestro is investing a low double-digit million-euro amount in a new steam compressor at its Dormagen site, its largest energy efficiency project to date.
The heat-pump-based system will cut Germany’s energy use by two per cent annually versus 2025, save over 40,000 tonnes of CO2 a year, and support climate-neutral production.
Operations are expected to begin in mid-2027.
