India has approved its nationally-determined contribution for 2031-2035, enhancing its ambition under the UNFCCC and its Paris Agreement, while reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development and climate justice—a key step towards achieving net zero by 2070.
The five targets are intended to embed sustainability into daily life and governance systems and promote climate-resilient development pathways.
