The unemployment rate for Indians over 15 fell to 4.7 per cent in November from 5.2 per cent in October—the lowest level recorded since April, government statistics show.
The worker-population ratio rose to 53.2 per cent in November from 52.8 per cent in October.
The overall labour force participation rate among persons over 15 rose to 55.8 per cent in November—the highest recorded since April 2025.
