New free trade agreements could more than offset the impact of US tariffs on Germany, according to a study by ifo Institute.
German exports could rise up to 4.1 per cent and GDP by 0.5 per cent through EU deals with Mercosur and partners such as India and Indonesia.
Without new agreements, US tariffs may cut GDP by 0.13 per cent and exports by 1.3 per cent.
