Cotton yarn prices in North India rose sharply, with Ludhiana up ₹10/kg and Delhi ₹2–3/kg, driven by supply shortages as mills divert output to export markets amid a weaker rupee.
Domestic supply also dropped by 30–40 per cent.
Recycled yarn also gained in Panipat, while cotton prices held steady, tracking global trends and strong export demand.
