The US lower house has voted 219-211 to annul President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canada.

Rejecting claims that there was a drug-related national emergency as Trump had claimed to justify the tariffs, Gregory Meeks, who introduced the resolution, said it was about lowering the cost of living for American families.
