India’s domestic textile market has grown from about $63 billion in FY15 to over $168.2 billion now, reflecting robust expansion and increasing contribution to the economy, according to Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh.
The country’s textile industry has expanded to nearly $190 billion in FY26 and is poised to hit $350 billion by 2030.
India has emerged as a major force in technical textiles as well.
