US retail trade sales were up by 0.5 per cent month on month (MoM) and 5.2 per cent YoY in April, advance estimates by the US Census Bureau show.
Sales at non-store retailers were up by 11.1 per cent YoY in the month.
Sales at apparel and clothing accessories stores dropped by 1.5 per cent MoM and rose by 5.5 per cent YoY in April, whereas in the January-April 2026 period, these rose by 6.3 per cent YoY.
